Supporting Stadsmissionen: 250 kg of clothes

For us at Massive Entertainment, the question of how to give back to our local communities is central to us in our everyday work. During the month of September, employees at Massive donated over 250kg of clothes to Stadsmissionen, who are working to support people in vulnerable situations.

During the first week of September, our partner Stadsmissionen reached out asking for help. They told us they needed help collecting clothes to people in need, in order to prepare for the coming winter.

Over the course of three weeks, a room at our studio was turned into a collection point, where our co-workers could leave their donations. The room quickly filled up with everything from children’s boots to winter coats to wool hats and socks. Together, our employees donated more than 250 kg of clothes!

We are overwhelmed by the amount of donations coming from our employees!

“We are overwhelmed by the amount of donations coming from our employees!”, Karolina Lundin, CSR & Communication Specialist at Massive, said. ”It’s heartwarming to know that these clothes will get a new life and help keep a lot of people warm this winter.”

A charitable cause

This week, Stadsmissionen picked up the donated clothes and brought them to their collection point at Grönegatan 36 in Malmö. They will now be organized, cleaned and eventually distributed to people that Stadsmissionen meet in their everyday work, people who in one way or another are living in vulnerable situations in Malmö and around Skåne. Some items might be sold in Stadsmissionen’s own second-hand shops, where the profit goes to charitable causes, and some materials will be reused for Stadsmissionen’s own climate friendly brand Remake – it will be turned into new clothes and blankets that will then be given away.

This initiative is a great example why we are very happy about our long-term collaboration with Massive Entertainment.

”This initiative is a great example why we are very happy about our long-term collaboration with Massive Entertainment, where the engagement of their co-workers directly helps support our organization,” Pernilla Jonsson, communications and donation manager at Skåne Stadsmission, said.

We are already defining our upcoming collaborations with Stadsmissionen, and how we can work together in the future.
