Taking place a few hundred years after the original game, the universe is at war, with the Northern Star Alliance battling the Terran Empire in an attempt to uphold freedom and protect their remaining colonies. You must use strategy and tactical control to succeed in your mission, fighting on the surface of the planet to achieve victory.
In June, 2004 Massive released the sequel to the original game, Ground Control II: Operation Exodus. The game was released to worldwide acclaim and has received several Editors’ Choice Awards for excellence.
The 2004 sequel brought in faster-paced game mechanics, giving players a more modern feel and improvements to the graphical engine and story.
